Walter Grossmann (politician)

Walter Grossmann (born December 8, 1927 in Lichtenfels ; † December 19, 2007 there ) was a German politician ( CSU ).

Grossmann attended elementary school and vocational school. He completed his apprenticeship as an electrician with a journeyman's examination. He then did military service for a short time in World War II . After the war, there was retraining at the commercial school.

In 1949 Grossmann became a member of the Junge Union and in 1950 the CSU. He worked for the members of the state parliament Max Jüngling , Waltraud Bundschuh and Herbert Hofmann and the members of the Bundestag Max Spörl , Gustav Sühler , Freiherr zu Guttenberg and Lorenz Niegel . In 1953 he became managing director of the CSU in the Bundestag constituency of Kulmbach . He was city councilor and district councilor in his hometown, district councilor of the district of Upper Franconia and first district chairman of the VdK in the Lichtenfels district association. From 1978 to 1998 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament for two decades , always directly elected in the Lichtenfels constituency .

Walter Grossmann was an Evangelical Lutheran and remained single.
