Walter Heichen

Erich Walter Heichen (born June 22, 1876 in Stuttgart , † March 24, 1970 in Berlin ) was a German writer , translator , editor and publishing director . He used the pseudonyms : Walter Eichner , Erich Walter , Karl Wilding , Hermann Eiler and Gerd Kühnwald .

Life

Walter Heichen attended the Royal Gymnasium in Leipzig from Easter 1887 to December 31, 1888 and then the Friedrichsgymnasium in Frankfurt (Oder) . He then trained as a bookseller and worked as an editor for the German book trade journal . From 1909 he lived in Berlin. From 1920 he was head of the local book publisher A. Weichert .

Heichen also worked as a translator, editor and editor of works from world literature . He has penned over 100 books, including adventure novels, detective novels, women and romance novels, historical novels, science fiction , war novels and short stories.
