Walter Julius Küpper

Walter Julius Küpper (* 1905 in Forst (Wiehl) ; † November 23, 1966 in Großhansdorf ) was a German painter , graphic artist and etcher .

Life

Walter Julius Küpper was the second of seven children of the master confectioner Walter Julius Küpper (1879–1961) and Maria Henriette geb. Steinbach (1881–1961) from Neuwied.

In the 1930s he studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy with Werner Heuser , Heinrich Nauen and Wilhelm Herberholz .

He worked as a painter, sculptor, graphic artist, etcher, specialist in drypoint etching and writer in Ahrensburg . Most recently he lived with his wife Ingrid Küpper-von Wedel in Großhansdorf in the Stormarn district.

Küppers died in a traffic accident at the age of 62 when he and his wife crossed the autobahn on foot.
