Walter Kiwit

Walter Kiwit (born July 27, 1931 in Wanne-Eickel ) was senior district director of the Rhein-Sieg district .

Life

After studying law in Münster and Freiburg im Breisgau , he was in Münster in 1964 with the work of wrongful judgments in criminal law. Origin, laws and ways to avoid, studied at retrial in the Higher Regional Court of Hamm from the period 1950-1958 doctorate . He then worked in Neubeckum , Cologne and Erftstadt .

Since September 1, 1970, he has been a department head in the Rhein-Sieg district . The public order office as well as the school and culture office fell into his area. In 1977 he was elected district director and also took over the social and youth welfare office.

In 1983 Kiwit was elected senior district director for eight years by the district assembly. In 1991 he was re-elected and also took over the social and youth welfare office. From 1984 to 2000, Kiwit was honorary district chairman of the German Red Cross .

At his own request, he retired early on October 31, 1994. After his retirement he was managing director of the association of local RWE shareholders - VKA - until 2013 he was also chairman of the breeding center of the Rhein-Sieg district.

Walter Kiwit is the son of the former mayor of Wanne-Eickel, Wilhelm Kiwit .
