Walter Krostewitz (1897)

Walter Krostewitz (born October 9, 1877 in Halle (Saale) , † 1949 ) was a German manager of the textile industry.

Life

After graduating from secondary school in Halle, Walter Krostewitz studied chemistry at the Friedrichs University in Halle . In 1897 he became a member of the Corps Teutonia Halle. At the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg , he was in 1902 for Dr. phil. PhD. He became an assistant to Emilio Noelting at the Kaiser Wilhelms University . He then found jobs as a chemist in Hungary, Austria, Italy, Germany and Alsace. During the First World War he worked in Italy. In 1919 he was appointed director and chairman of the board of directors of Moritz Ribbert AG, cotton spinning and weaving, bleaching, dyeing, blue printing and calico factory in Hohenlimburg .

Krostewitz was a member of the supervisory board of KBC Manufaktur Koechlin, Baumgartner & Cie. AG and chairman of the Vereinigung Deutscher Blaudrucker e. V.
