Walter Rieck (illustrator)
Walter Rieck (born January 15, 1911 in Waren (Müritz) , † August 9, 2002 ) was a German painter and illustrator .
life and work
Walter Rieck worked for the Franz Schneider Verlag , among others . He illustrated many children's books, and also he created images for Hannelore -Hefte of Berta Schmidt-Eller and many issues of wild roses series. Walter Rieck also the illustrations to originate Captain-Konny series of Rolf Ulrici and images for Secret Agent Lennet series of Lieutenant X . He also illustrated several books for young people by the author Margot Benary-Isbert .
He seems to have been active mainly in the 1950s and 1960s. Some of his works are signed with the abbreviation "Ri".
Walter Rieck may also have created oil paintings.
Rieck lived in Heilbronn from around 1942 until his death in 2002 , where he a. a. worked for the newspaper Heilbronner Demokratie .
