Walter Straumann
Walter Straumann (born May 6, 1943 , legal resident in Fehren and Obergösgen ) is a Swiss politician ( CVP ).
Life
Straumann was on the City Council of Solothurn from 1973 to 1976 . From 1974 to 1987 he was court president of Olten-Gösgen and from 1988 to 1996 chief judge of the canton of Solothurn . From the elections in October 1995 to September 1997 he sat in the National Council . From 1997 to 2013 he was a government councilor in Solothurn , where he was head of the building and justice department.
The advocate and notary Straumann lives in Olten , is married and has three children.
