Walter Troeltsch (politician)

Walter Troeltsch (born July 29, 1928 in Kiel ) is a former Hessian politician ( CDU ) and member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

After graduating from high school in 1949, Walter Troeltsch studied economics in Marburg , Frankfurt am Main and Syracuse (New York) and completed this course with a master's degree. He then worked as a commercial clerk in the textile industry before studying again (this time in law ), which he completed in 1956 with the second state examination.

He worked as a government assessor in the Hessian state culture administration, as head of the cultural office in Dillenburg and Limburg and from 1970 as a department head in the state culture office in Wiesbaden .

Walter Troeltsch is married and has four children. He is the grandson of the economist Walter Troeltsch and great-grandson of the parliamentarian and entrepreneur Wilhelm Troeltsch .

politics

Walter Troeltsch has been a member of the CDU since 1963 and was among other things deputy chairman of the CDU district association Marburg-Biedenkopf .
From 1971 he was a city councilor in Marburg, where he led the CDU parliamentary group from 1974 to 1977 and from 1985. From 1974 to 1985 he was chairman of the Marburg-Biedenkopf district council.
From December 1, 1970 to April 4, 1991, Walter Troeltsch was a member of the Hessian state parliament for six electoral terms.

In 1974 and 1984 Walter Troeltsch was a member of the Federal Assembly .
