Walter Wessely (born May 17, 1958 in Graz ) is a music producer, composer and singer from Austria . Since 1974 he has been the head of the band Golden Sunshine , owner of Sunshine Studios and owner of the music publisher TonInTon.

Life

Walter Wessely comes from a family of small farmers near Graz in Styria . He grew up in poor conditions and had to work on his parents' farm from an early age. Nevertheless, his parents made it possible for him to attend high school, where he discovered his love for music. Mostly autodidactically and only with a converted tube radio as an amplifier, he taught himself to play the guitar and founded the band Golden Sunshine in 1974 , with whom he toured very successfully live through Austria, Germany and Switzerland until 1997. After graduating from high school, he joined a bank where he worked until 1990; then he decided to go into business for himself and founded the Sunshine Studio . Since he increasingly began to promote young bands and enable them to enter the music scene, he founded the record label Ton in Ton in 2001 . Today Walter Wessely is one of the most successful Austrian composers and producers in the field of pop music .
