Walter Wirz

Walter Wirz (born September 10, 1947 in Wershofen ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After completing a craft apprenticeship , Wirz obtained the technical college entrance qualification and then completed an engineering degree at a technical college. He has been working as a freelance architect (FH) since 1972 .

Walter Wirz is married and has one child.

Political party

Wirz has been a member of the CDU since 1965. He was initially involved in the Junge Union , whose state board in Rhineland-Palatinate he was a member from 1970 to 1972. From 1969 to 1973 he was also chairman of the Ahrweiler JU district association .

Walter Wirz is deputy district chairman of the CDU Ahrweiler.

MP

Wirz belonged to the community council of Adenau and was chairman of the CDU parliamentary group from 1980 to 1987. Since 1970 he has been a member of the district council of the Ahrweiler district and was also chairman of the CDU parliamentary group from 1986 to 1994.

Wirz has been a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament since 1994 . Walter Wirz has entered the state parliament as a directly elected member of the Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler constituency .

Public offices

Wirz was local mayor of Wershofen from 1974 to 1984 and first alderman of the Ahrweiler district from 1994 to 1999 .
