Walther Rickelt

Walther Ludwig Ludolf Rickelt (born July 19, 1881 in Dortmund , † January 11, 1939 in Hirschberg ) was a German lawyer and politician . He was Lord Mayor of Hirschberg (1925–1934).

Life

Born the son of a senior engineer , Rickelt studied law in Freiburg im Breisgau , Marburg and Kiel after attending the municipal grammar school in Dortmund . During his studies in 1900 he became a member of the Alemannia Marburg fraternity . In 1904 he was in Rostock for Dr. iur. PhD . After his exams in 1908 he was at the local court in Dortmund in 1909 , at the Merck Darmstadt company from 1910 to 1911 , as a lawyer in Dortmund from 1911 to 1913 and in the service of the city of Wroclaw from 1913 to 1914 active. In 1918 he became Second Mayor, 1919 First Mayor and 1925 Lord Mayor of Hirschberg.
