Walther Saupe

Heinrich Walther Saupe (born August 14, 1892 in Leipzig ; † in the 20th century) was a German educator .

Life

Walther Saupe attended the Thomasgymnasium in Leipzig from 1903 to 1912 . In 1916 he received his doctorate under Bruno Keil at the University of Leipzig with a dissertation on the early stages of Greek art prose in the assessment of Plato .

Saupe was during the Nazi era teacher in Bischofswerda , 1946 he was a lecturer in teacher education in Bischofswerda, 1947 in Leipzig, and in 1948 a professor of educational psychology at the Brandenburg State College in Potsdam. His subjects were educational psychology, educational philosophy, theory of pedagogy and sociology of education.

He worked in the GDR in the Thomas Mann working group .
