Waltraud Lehn b. Link (born August 12, 1947 in Remscheid ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1966, Waltraud Lehn completed training in the higher-level non-technical service . After passing the exam at the municipal administration and savings bank school in Cologne, she worked in the fields of youth welfare, human resources and economic development at the Rhineland Regional Council and the city of Wuppertal until 1988 . From 1984 to 1988 she also had a teaching position at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal .

Waltraud Lehn is married and has one son.

Political party

Waltraud Lehn joined the SPD in 1974 and is a member of the board of the SPD sub-district Recklinghausen .

From 1994 to 2009 Waltraud Lehn was a member of the German Bundestag . Since October 2002 she has been deputy spokeswoman for the "Budget" working group of the SPD parliamentary group . In the Committee on Budgets , she was the main rapporteur for labor and social affairs.
