Waltrud Viehböck
Waltrud Viehböck (born February 24, 1937 in Fulda ; † December 19, 2014 in Linz ) was a German - Austrian pharmacist and sculptor .
life and work
She completed a pharmacy degree in Germany , then attended the University for Artistic and Industrial Design Linz from 1968 to 1971 , master class metal with Helmuth Gsöllpointner and has since worked as a freelancer in the fields of street furniture , sacred objects and sculpture . She makes jewelry and metal sculptures . The artist was married to Arthur Viehböck, received Austrian citizenship in 1977 , lives and worked in Kematen an der Krems and carried the professional title of professor.
She was admitted to the Künstlerhaus Wien on March 31, 1976 and showed her collections there in 1992 and 2002. In 2008 and 2009 she was awarded the Golden Laurel there. She also belonged to the artists' association MAERZ and the Upper Austrian Art Association and regularly took part in exhibitions at home and abroad.
