He celebrated four single and nine double victories on the ATP Challenger Tour. On the ITF Future Tour, he won sixteen singles and nine doubles. On November 2, 2009 he broke through the top 150 in the world rankings for the first time in singles and his highest ranking was 144th on November 16, 2009. In doubles, he broke through the top 150 on December 1, 2008 and reached 132nd place as the best on September 28, 2009.
He played his first individual game on the ATP World Tour in 2002 in Viña del Mar , where he defeated the Spaniard Alberto Martín in the first round . In the second round he was eliminated from the Chilean Nicolás Massú in two sets with 0: 6 and 3: 6. After weaker results, he last played tournaments regularly in 2013.
