From 2014 to 2017 he won numerous other medals in singles, doubles, mixed and with the team at the youth world and Asian championships.
From 2018 it was increasingly used in the adult sector. At the Hungarian Open 2018 he reached the final, which he lost to Vice World Champion Fan Zhendong . As part of the Chinese team, for which he completed an individual, he also became world champion . In June he reached a position in the top 100 of the world rankings for the first time , at the Asian Games he won gold in the team and in mixed with Sun Yingsha , with whom he - just as in the individual - won the Youth Olympic Games . At the Hungarian Open 2019 he came back to the final after winning over world number six Hugo Calderano and number 1 fan Zhendong, which he lost to Lin Gaoyuan . In April he was able to start in doubles at the World Championships and won gold together with Ma Long . At the Korea and Australian Open victories followed, among others, over the top 10 players Tomokazu Harimoto , Liang Jingkun and individual world champion Ma Long, and in October he won the Swedish Open after winning Harimoto, Liang Jingkun and Lin Gaoyuan, among others had beaten 4-0. In November he reached 15th place in the world rankings, but was banned by the Chinese Association for three months after he threw his bat on the table after his defeat in the preliminary round to Zhao Zihao at the Austrian Open .
