Wang Zhaoguo

Wang Zhaoguo (2011)

Wang Zhaoguo ( Chinese  王兆國  /  王兆国 , Pinyin Wáng Zhàoguó , Pe̍h-ōe-jī Ong Tiau-kok ; * 1941 in Fengrun , Hebei ) is a Chinese communist politician. He was a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China from 2002 to November 2012 and chairman of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and, since 2003, a deputy chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress .

Wang Zhaoguo is a turbine engineer by profession and graduated from Harbin Polytechnic University . After serving in the Communist Youth League , most recently as its first secretary from 1982 to 1984, he was a functionary in the apparatus of the Central Committee and from 1987 to 1990 governor of Fujian and from 1993 to 2003 vice-chairman of the Political Consultative Conference of the Chinese People .
