The Ward skirt is a round rock formation in the East Antarctic Enderbyland . It rises immediately east of the Howard Hills in the northeastern part of the Scott Mountains .
The rock was mapped using aerial photographs taken in 1956 as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions . The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named him after Able Seaman Frederic George Ward (1901 - unknown), crew member of the RRS Discovery on the British Australian and New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (1929-1931).
