Warlito Cajandig y Itcuas
Warlito Cajandig y Itcuas (born January 31, 1944 in Dumarao , Capiz , Philippines ) is a Filipino Catholic clergyman who has been Vicar Apostolic of Calapan since 1989 .
biography
Cajandig was ordained a priest on March 21, 1970 and was appointed Vicar Apostolic of Calapan and Titular Bishop of Ausafa on April 17, 1989 after almost twenty years of service . On June 21, 1989 he received the episcopal ordination by Jaime Cardinal Sin and the co- consecrators Bishop Nicolas Mondejar and Vicente Salgado y Garrucho .
After Cajandig suffered a stroke on September 1, 2018, Pope Francis appointed the previous Vicar General of Calapan, Nestor Adalia , as Apostolic Administrator , which means that Cajandig's jurisdiction is suspended until further notice.
