Warmblood is an Italian death metal band from Lodi that was founded in 2002.

history

The band was founded in 2002 by guitarist and singer Giancarlo Capra and drummer Elena Carnevali. Then there was the bassist Ivan Marconi. A first demo was then recorded in November 2003 . In September 2006, Davide Mazzoletti joined as a second guitarist, after which the group began to write new songs. A few years later, Marconi left the group, after which they decided to continue without a bassist. In May 2004, the band could be seen at the Tattooing Metal Fest , which was later renamed Tattoo Death Fest. In May 2006, she participated in the A Chapter of Violence Fest . In May and August 2007 the band went to the Elfo Studio , where the debut album Necrocosmos Destination , which consists of eight songs, was recorded, mixed and mastered. The release took place in April 2009 on the British label Valley of Death Records , with the Italian label The Spew Records , a sub-label of Punishment 18 Records , taking over the distribution. The song Insane , which can be heard on the album, is included on the sampler Spreading the Sickness 2 by Mutilated Records . From January to April the band finished the recordings for the second album Timor Mortis in the Elfo Studio in Piacenza . In April 2010, she signed a recording deal with Punishment 18 Records, which inspired the work of Lucio Fulci to release the ten-song album in September 2010. In January of the following year Marco Lari officially joined the band as a singer. The release of the album was followed by concerts with Impaled Nazarene , Asphyx , Infernal War , Vomitory , Kraanium , Antropofagus , Psychofagist and Blasphemer . The group was also seen at the Tattoo Death Fest and the Hellbrigade Festival . In January 2014, Lari left, dissatisfied with the new song material, before the recordings of the new album Warmblood. In February, the recordings for the nine-song album began. Graziano Demurtas was the bass player. The album was released in late October 2014 under the name God of Zombies on The Spew Records. It was recorded in Elfo Studio in Piacenza, after which the material was mixed and mastered by Stefano Morabito in the 16th Cellar Studio in Rome . The release was followed by concerts with Wrench , Hour of Penance , Electrocution , Ira , Parasitic Eiaculation , Cerebral Extinction and Sickening . The fourth album Putrefaction Emphasis was recorded between May and July 2017 . Graziano Demurtas was again present as bass player. The recordings had taken place in Elfo Studio in Piacenza under the direction of Daniele Mandelli before they were mixed and mastered by Stefano Morabio in 16th Cellar Studio in Rome. The album was released in the same year.

style

V. Srikar from metal-temple.com wrote in his review of God of Zombies that after a two-minute intro, in which the tension and speed are built up, the album consists of Death Metal, which is characterized by fast riffs and growls typical of the genre . Another characteristic feature is the rhythmic play of the drums, which mainly follow the electric guitars, as is customary for the genre. Lyrically he was reminded of Terrorizer . Anatoliy Savchuk from antichristmagazine.com also assigned Putrefaction Emphasis to Death Metal. The brutal singing, the playing of the electric guitars and the interestingly designed playing structures of the drums are characteristic. Occasionally, influences from Thrash Metal are processed and there are sound parallels to atheist at times .
