Warnitz is one of the few manors of the Neumark that was owned by a family from the 14th to the 20th century, that of the East. In 1398 Ulrich von Osten is the owner of the village Schildberg , to which u. a. the village of Warnitz belonged. Warnitz was run as an independent estate since 1614, which Alexander von der Osten inherited after the death of his father of the same name. The present mansion was built by Julius von der Osten , owner of the estate since 1807, which in the mid-19th century owned a field of 14,500 acres. Until 1944 the estate was owned by Oskar von der Osten, who died there . After the occupation by the Red Army , the mansion was looted and devastated in 1945. From 1958 to 1983 it served as a primary school and was probably newly plastered at that time, since then it has been empty and is becoming increasingly dilapidated.
