The Warsaw Financial Center is a high-rise office building in Warsaw that was built in the late 1990s and is one of the tallest buildings in the city. At the time of completion, the WFC was the tallest reinforced concrete building in Poland.

history

The skyscraper is located in the inner city district at Ulica Emilii Plater 53 , which crosses Ulica Świętokrzyska here . In the immediate vicinity there are two more high-rise buildings, the Hotel InterContinental and the Rondo 1 office building . Construction work began in 1997 and was completed in 1998. The investor was Golub & Company . The building was designed by the American architects A. Epstein & Sons International and Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates , who worked with local architects. Construction was carried out by PORR . The 2.3 ton mast was installed on October 13, 1998 with the help of an Mi-8 helicopter on the north side of the building. The WFC was one of the first class A office buildings to be offered in Warsaw.

In 2005 CA Immo and Pramerica Real Estate Investors each bought 50% of the property. In August 2012, the object of a The joint venture of Allianz Real Estate (87.5%) and the investment fund Curzon Capital III of Tristan Capital Partners acquired (12.5%) for 210 million euros.

The main tenant, who is the only tenant with a logo on the facade (on the top two floors), is Bank Austria Creditanstalt . Other tenants include: CMS Cameron McKenna , DLA Piper , General Electric , Google , World Bank , European Bank for Reconstruction and Development , Rothschild Polska , Wyborowa SA , Boeing International Corporation , CEZ Polska , Mastercard , the US Chamber of Commerce , the Kultur and Taipei Economic Bureau , the Korean Trade Center and the Thai Trade Bureau .

Furnishing

The building consists of two parts - a six-storey base building, the height of which harmonizes with the post-war buildings in the area, and a tower section, the rectangular floor plan of which is dominated on the top floors by an arch that tapers towards the east. The facade consists of glass and aluminum as well as gray-blue and black granite . The multi-storey lobby is designed in an Art Deco style.

The height of the building without a mast is 144 meters, spread over 32 floors. The mast has an additional height of 21 meters. Around 50,000 m² of rental space is available, 93% of which is used for offices and 7% for retail, warehouse and restaurant use. There are 350 parking spaces in the 6 basement floors. The property has 16 high-speed elevators and a 24-hour power failure generator. The building has its own water purification system and - as well as for fire fighting - has water tanks with a total capacity of 600,000 l.
