For many years she was one of the strongest downhill skiers and celebrated four World Cup victories in this discipline - two of them within 24 hours in the double descent of Happo One (1997).
She won two more races in winter 1996/97, but in the Downhill World Cup she had to settle for third place behind Heidi Zurbriggen and Renate Götschl . She achieved her first of twelve podium places in the downhill as an 18-year-old in December 1990 in the downhill from Morzine behind Petra Kronberger and Chantal Bournisse . She also achieved a podium in the Super-G .
She ended her World Cup career with a 13th place in the Super-G in Altenmarkt in March 2002. However, she continues to compete in smaller ski races, for example in 2006 she was the Russian Super-G champion.
