Waschkiwzi ( Ukrainian Вашківці ; Russian Вашковцы Waschkowzy , Romanian Văşcăuţi ) is a village in the east of the Ukrainian Oblast Chernivtsi with about 3500 inhabitants (2001).
The 1651 first mentioned the village is the administrative center of the eponymous district municipality in Rajon Sokyriany to which the village Nowa Sloboda ( Нова Слобода ) and since August 2015 nor the villages Strumok ( Струмок ) and Schyschkiwzi ( Шишківці ) belong.
Waschkiwzi lies on the border with the Moldavian Rajon Briceni 30 km west of the Rajon center Sokyrjany .
