Washington Luiz de Paula (born January 23, 1953 in Bauru , São Paulo ; † February 15, 2010 ibid; also: Washington Luiz de Paulo ), Washington for short , was a Brazilian soccer player .
Career
society
From 1970, according to other sources from 1972 to late 1974, he was in the ranks of Guarani FC . However, from the beginning of 1974 he is listed in the same source as a player from Corinthians São Paulo . He is said to have played there until mid-1975. Immediately afterwards he was active at EC Vitória until mid-1977 . This was followed by a career stint at Coritiba FC until mid-1978. In 1977 he met there twice in nine appearances in Serie A. From 1978 to 1981 he was listed as a player at Associação Ferroviária de Esportes . In 1982 he played for EC Bahia . Goiás EC was his employer from 1983 to mid-1986 . Partly in parallel, a cadre membership from mid-1983 to the end of 1987 at Clube Náutico Marcílio Dias is recorded. Subsequently, an engagement with Rio Branco de Andradas FC and in 1988 with Pirassununguense is reported for the years 1987 and 1988 .

In 1972 Washington played three games for the Brazilian national soccer team at the Summer Olympics .
