Water level forecast for the German North Sea coast

The water level forecast for the German North Sea coast is the forecast of the water levels to be expected for the area mentioned. According to the Maritime Tasks Act, it is one of the tasks of the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency .

In the water level forecast, the expected deviation of the coming tidal flood from the mean flood of the astronomical tide is given (e.g. "0 to 3 decimeters higher than the mean flood"). Depending on the flood time for Cuxhaven , it is still announced for the German North Sea coast and Emden as well as for Hamburg and Bremen whether it is the morning, morning, noon, afternoon, evening or night flood (according to the following table ).
