The building with the postal address Wasserstraße 71 is a listed building in the Wasserstraße in Stralsund .
The three-storey , five-axis front building of the deep development between Wasserstraße and Am Fischmarkt was built in 1898.
The largely plastered facade, which is only brick-faced on the second floor, is designed in the neo-renaissance style.
Downstairs in the outer shaft is a round arch - portal to see that with rustication is framed. On the first floor there are grooved pilasters between the large windows . The second floor has particularly elaborate decorative elements: the arched windows are framed by pilasters, and parapet fields with rich stucco ornamentation characterize this floor.
The window in the middle axis on the second floor has a triangular roof over the eaves, the middle axis is crowned by a dwelling .
The house is located in the core area of the city area recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site of the “ historic old towns of Stralsund and Wismar ”. It is entered in the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund with the number 793.
The associated back building with the address Am Fischmarkt 5 has five floors. The three lower storeys are brick-exposed, the two upper storeys are brick-structured. A triangular gable with a staggered top completes the rear building.
