The Wattkopf is a 338.2  m above sea level. NHN high mountain east of Ettlingen in the district of Karlsruhe in Baden-Württemberg and a forest-covered foothill on the western edge of the northern Black Forest .

The local Bismarck Tower is halfway up on the western slope of the mountain .

The east bypass of Ettlingen uses the Wattkopftunnel , a single-tube road tunnel that went into operation in 1994 and is 1950 meters long and runs under the mountain.

The Südwestrundfunk (formerly the Süddeutsche Rundfunk ) has operated the Wattkopf transmitter for the FM radio program SWR4 Badenradio on the Wattkopf since 1996 . A 76 m high reinforced concrete tower serves as the antenna carrier. Since 2011, the transmission tower has also been used for mobile communications, the commercial radio of the Karlsruhe transport company and digital authority radio .

Two and a half kilometers northeast of the Wattkopf transmitter is the Grünwettersbach telecommunications tower near the Edelberg, near the edge of the Black Forest plateau .
