The Weber hydraulic GmbH is a German manufacturer of hydraulic components headquartered in Güglingen ( Baden-Wuerttemberg ) and is still owned by the family of the founder Emil Weber. The company manufactures u. a. hydraulic rescue equipment (hydraulic scissors and spreaders), which are used by many fire departments and other agencies providing assistance. The approximately 1,791 employees generated sales of around 310 million euros in 2017.

History and Development

The company was founded in 1939 to manufacture hydraulic hoists in Stuttgart-Untertürkheim. In 1944 the company moved to Güglingen, where a new production site was opened in 1970. The product range was expanded through the takeover of the companies Strassacker-Ölhydraulik (1966), MADIX (1990), LOG Hydraulik (2007), Fluidteam (2007) and Hyco (2011).

Hydraulic systems, hydraulic linear actuators , hydraulic cylinders, cab locks, pumps for cab tilting systems, jacks, valves and control blocks, hydraulic units and rescue systems are produced. A well-known brand name is the Büffel hydraulic jack .

The company also offers workshops and seminars for its products. Fire brigades in particular can receive further training there.
