Weberbauerocereus cuzcoensis is a species of plant from the genus Weberbauerocereus in the cactus family(Cactaceae).
description
Weberbauerocereus cuzcoensis grows tree-like with richly branched, spreading, gray-green shoots 4 to 7 centimeters in diameter and reaches heights of 3 to 4 meters. The 10 to 14 ribs are 6 to 11 millimeters high and extremely blunt. The areoles on it are oval to circular and covered with white wool. Strong, yellow to brownish thorns arise from them . The three to eight, barely piercing central spines are 1 to 4 centimeters long, the 10 to 14 radial spines 3 to 10 millimeters long. The lowest radial spines are the longest.
The somewhat radial symmetry, unpleasantly scented flowers open at night. They are 10 to 12 inches long. Your light green flower tube is covered with brownish hair . The bracts are white at their base and turn pale pink towards the tip. The fruits are dark green, 4 centimeters long and reach a diameter of 3 centimeters.
Distribution, systematics and endangerment
Weberbauer ocereus cuzcoensis is common in the Peruvian regions of Apurímac and Ayacucho at altitudes of 1500 to 2100 meters. It was first described in 1969 by Karel Kníže .
In the Red List of Threatened Species of the IUCN , the species is listed as " Least Concern (LC) ". H. listed as not endangered.
