action

13-year-old Momoko Hanasaki lives with her father as a half- orphan because her mother disappeared when she was little. She always carries her mother's ring with her. One day the demon Ame appears and demands the return of the ring, suspecting that it is one of the magical four (something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue) that the ruler of darkness Satania is looking for.

It turns out that Momoko is "Wedding Peach", the legendary angel of love. She has to fight demons to prevent love on earth from being extinguished by them. She is supported by three other love angels, Hinagiku Tamano (Angel Daisy), Yuri Tanima (Angel Lily) and Scarlet O'Hara (Angel Salvia), but also by others. Momoko, Yuri and Hinagiku go to St. Flora High School and are in love with the crush Kazuya Yanagiba, who is not only the captain of the soccer team, but also the head boy. Momoko later falls in love with the team's goalkeeper, Yōsuke Fūma.

It turns out that Momoko's mother is an angel. Kazuya is also an angel, while Yōsuke is a half demon (Vento). Fortunately, they all defeat the ruler of darkness and Yōsuke can still stay with Momoko, even though he is a demon and she is an angel.

Video game

A game based on the manga was released for Super Nintendo in 1995. In addition, a game came out in 1995 for the Game Boy and 1996 for the PlayStation .

reception

According to Kuno Liesegang from Splashcomics, the series is very reminiscent of the manga Sailor Moon in plot and style , which is also due to the fact that the mangaka worked on Sailor Moon . But the work also offers new elements and reads well. The ratio of action-packed and quiet scenes is balanced, the manga as a whole recommendable.

The funime writes about an entertaining storyline for the anime, but in the long run it can get too "squeaky" for some . The series is visually acceptable. The anime is primarily intended for those who “are into color and sugar” .
