The Crossroads Wanlo is in the district Wanlo in Mönchengladbach ( Nordrhein-Westfalen ) on dirt road Wanlo- Borschemich .

The cross was built in 1766. It was entered under No. D 013 on August 18, 1994 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .

location

The wayside cross stands southeast of Wanlo on the border of the corridors 'In der Roßkuhl' and 'Hinter der Windmühle' at an intersection of the field path leading from Wanlo to Borschemich.

architecture

The shaft cross with corpus stands on a structured base. Substructure with an almost square cross-section, leading over a profiled cantilever plate to place a monstrance in the middle part with a round arched niche ( cone ), which shows a shell ornament in the dome and a winged utten head above it. Canopy with carnies , above a base plate with a bulge as a base for the shaft cross.

The inscription reads:

CHRISTO DABANT / D JOES HENRICVS / LENDERS / & / ANNA CATHARINA / SPECHT CONIUGES / AO 1766
