The Roman Catholic path chapel to Our Lady of Sorrows is located in Maria Steinbach, a district of Legau in the Unterallgäu district in Bavaria . The listed chapel is located southwest on the road to Legau.

The chapel was built as a square structure in the 17th or 18th century. The chapel has a tent roof and is provided with an arched opening to the east. There are pilasters to the right and left of the opening . A crucifix as well as Mary and John are painted on sawn wooden panels . Originally the figure of Our Lady of Sorrows was in this chapel . This has been in the Maria Steinbach pilgrimage church since 1728/1729 . An inscription above the chapel reminds of this:

"The miraculous image of the painful Mother Mary first stood in this chapel and was translated into the Steinbach parish church in 1729."
