The Military Wages Act (WSG) in Germany regulates the receipt of cash benefits and benefits in kind for soldiers in military service according to the Military Service Act ( voluntary military service ) or the fourth section of the Soldiers Act ( military exercise ).
Services
The person doing military service can receive the following benefits under the WSG:
- Military pay ( § 2 ); the daily rates according to rank are given in Appendix 1 to Section 2 (1) WSG
- Catering ( § 3 )
- Accommodation ( § 4 )
- Uniforms ( § 5 )
- Medical care ( § 6 )
- Military service surcharge ( § 8c )
- Foreign use surcharge ( § 8f )
- Special remuneration ( § 8g ); Payable monthly depending on the load group according to Annex 2 to Section 8g (1) WSG
- Allowance for soldiers at the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees ( § 8h )
- Dismissal allowance ( Section 9 )
Adjustment in November 2015
With the new version of the Maintenance Assurance Act (USG), the Military Wages Act was also changed on November 1, 2015.
In particular, as of November 1, 2015, the performance surcharge according to the Military Wages Act no longer applies. Since November 1, 2015, the obligation surcharge has been paid in accordance with Section 10 (3) USG. As a result, the central ruling B2-1320 / 0-0-1 "Obligation options for reservists" was revised.
