White jersey (UCI ProTour)

The white jersey of the UCI ProTour is a white classification jersey and is awarded to the leader in the UCI ProTour classification. In contrast to the UCI ProTour, which was launched in 2005, the jersey has been awarded since 1989, as it was carried over from the previous competition, the Cycling World Cup . There, however, it was decorated with rainbow-like stripes. However, it is not to be confused with the world champion jersey that is also called the rainbow jersey.
