The Weidach , sometimes also written Waidach , is a forest area in the north of Baden-Württemberg between the valleys of Seckach and Schefflenz .

The Weidach has an area of approximately 20 to 30 km² and is for the most part in the Neckar-Odenwald district , a small southern part in the Heilbronn district . The rivers Schefflenz in the west and Seckach in the east, bordering on both sides, are both northern tributaries of the Jagst . The Schefflenz flows in a very constant southerly direction in the west of the forest area through the municipality of Schefflenz , from the area around Großeicholzheim via Ober-, Mittel- and Unterefflenz. The valley of the Seckach, which borders the Weidach in the east, on the other hand, stretches from the village of the same name in a large east arch over Zimmer (also the municipality of Seckach ) to the apex near the town of Adelsheim , and then after crossing the village of Sennfeld, which belongs to this town, from about the middle from the village and community of Roigheim to turn south again.

Most of the Weidach drains into the Seckach, above all via the Fischbach , which runs through it to the south, but also via the two shorter and further to the west of it parallel waters, Kastenbach and Elmbach ; all three cross almost uninhabited terrain. The Schefflenz flows under the larger bodies of water from the area only to the Mühlbach , which arises on the southwest edge of the forest area on Billigheimer district, flows to the southwest and flows into it after crossing the suburb of Waldmühlbach between Katzental and Billigheim.

In the north the federal road 292 cuts through the forest area on its section Adelsheim – Oberschefflenz, in the south the state roads 1099 Roigheim – Unterschefflenz and the state road 586 Roigheim – Waldmühlbach.
