Weidach is a district of Blaustein in the Alb-Donau district in Baden-Württemberg . In the course of the community reform, Herrlingen and Weidach were incorporated into the community of Blaustein, founded in 1968, on January 1, 1975.

The village lies on the plateau spur between the Lauter and Kiesental.

history

Weidach is first handed down in 1225. The Elchingen monastery owned here in 1225, which it sold to von Bernhausen in 1568. Other landlords were the Söflingen Monastery , the Teutonic Order in Ulm and the Ulm Schleicher family (1589). The order had the lower jurisdiction over the subjects of the other dominions. In the 18th century the high and forestry authorities of the imperial city of Ulm belonged to. The manor was divided.

The sovereignty was 1803 Bavaria and by the border treaty between Bavaria and Württemberg in 1810 to the Kingdom of Württemberg , where the upper office Blaubeuren was assumed. With Herrlingen, to whose district Weidach belonged, the transition to the district of Ulm took place in 1938 . On January 1, 1975, Weidach was incorporated into the community of Blaustein.
