Weidachschlößle
The Weidachschlößle is a listed patrician house with the address Schlößleweg 10 in Kempten (Allgäu), which was laid out in the first half of the 16th century .
History and description
The building is located on the Iller and has a semicircular stair tower . It once served as the summer residence of imperial city patrician families. The four-storey rectangular building with a gable on the east side served as a refuge outside the city wall during the plague epidemics . Today the building, which used to stand alone and is now neglected, is privately owned by the descendants of the painter Franz Weiß . Along with the hood lock and the Rotschlößle, it is one of the last buildings of this type in Kempten. On the ground floor and the first floor, the ceilings have barrel and cross vaults .
