The Pehmer lake is about 4  hectares large lake in the southern part of the municipality Nehmten in Plön , Schleswig-Holstein .

location

The lake is located about 400 meters south of the Großer Plöner See and southeast of the Bredenbeker Moor at an altitude of 22  m above sea level. NN . As a celestial pond, it has no surface inflow or outflow and draws its water exclusively from precipitation and groundwater infiltration. The area is part of the Holstein Switzerland Nature Park .

history

The village and farm Pehmen are mentioned for the first time in writing in 1351. It is recorded from 1777 that the lake was leased together with other goods for 65 (?).

today

The lake is used for local recreation and fishing purposes. The stock includes perch , pike , pikeperch , roach and eel. The area is designated as a bird sanctuary , part of the Natura 2000 FFH area 1828-392 and since 1999 a landscape protection area .
