Welcome to the Hood ( English for “ Welcome to the neighborhood ”) is the 16th solo album by German rapper King Orgasmus One . It was released on September 21, 2018 on the label I Luv Money Records and is distributed by Soulfood . The album was released as a standard edition and box set, including instrumentals and a best of mix tape. The rapper hit the charts for the first time with Welcome to the Hood .

The songs on the album were produced by music producers Ed Gein, Jason Wallez, Frauenarzt , KD-Beatz , Aside and Edik One.
Cover design
The album cover is in black and white and shows King Orgasmus One wearing a black hoodie and sunglasses. With his right hand he shows a W-symbol for West Berlin. At the bottom left of the picture are the white and red lettering King Orgasmus One and Welcome to the Hood . At the top of the picture there is also the lettering I Luv Money Records Presented in white.
Guest Posts
Besides King Orgasmus One, other artists appear on eleven of the 19 tracks on the album. These are mainly rappers from his Berlin environment. Thus Bass Sultan Hengzt the title track Welcome to the Hood participated while Silla on Quantanamo is heard. B-Tight has a guest appearance on Track Blow , and gynecologist supports King Orgasmus One on Geil Forever . The rappers Finch Asocial and MC Bomber are represented on the song Jacksons , while the song Necronomicon is a collaboration with MC Basstard . The piece Cadillac is a collaboration with Sha-Karl and Plaetter Pi, and Ready to Fuck has Rhymin Simon a guest post. In Hood Talk Skit Sanchez is heard, and Maschinegun Rap King Orgasmus One is working with rapper Fäbson together. The singer JANA is also represented on Perfect Day .
The best of mix tape of the box set also includes guest contributions by Silla, Bex, Sha-Karl, Ocram, Zahni and Steff.

Welcome to the Hood entered the German album charts at number 5 for a week on September 28, 2018. It is the first album with which the rapper reached the German charts. King Orgasmus One was also able to enter the charts for the first time in Austria and Switzerland and was ranked 30th and 87th respectively.
On July 6, 2018, the song Murderer was released as the first single . The second release Schlagstock Sound followed on August 10, before the song Jacksons appeared on August 31, 2018 . On the day the album was released, the song Geil was released forever . Music videos were also made for all singles .

Dominik Lippe from laut.de rated Welcome to the Hood with three out of a possible five points. In terms of content, the album moves "between coitus and cocaine on Orgi's well-known terrain," with sometimes "wonderfully blunt" lyrics, and is also musically "firmly anchored in 2001." Only on the song Perfect Day did King Orgasmus One become the first in his career really personal and show that "behind the sometimes cynical, sometimes sexist facade there is a disappointed, sometimes sad person who had to come to terms with himself".
