Wellington Partners is a pan-European venture capital firm with offices in London, Munich, Zurich and Palo Alto and a fund volume of around EUR 800 million. It invests over-the-counter equity capital across Europe in the start-up and growth phase, particularly in the areas of digital media , cleantech and life sciences .

history

In 1991, Rolf Christof Dienst founded Wellington Partners after having built up TVM Capital in the 1980s, one of the first and to this day largest German venture capital company. In 1998 Wellington Partners launched the first fund Wellington Partners I, which was followed in 2000 by a second fund with a volume of 210 million euros. At the request of investors, Wellington Partners launched its first pure technology fund in 2004 for 150 million euros, and in 2006 a life science fund. At the beginning of 2008, the company closed its latest technology fund of 265 million euros.

Wellington Partners has invested in more than 100 companies in Europe and Israel to date. From the field of digital media this includes a. Alando , Astaro , Ciao , EyeEm , Hailo , ImmobilienScout24 , net mobile , Qype , Retailo , SAF , Spotify , Webmiles , XING and 1-2-3.tv . The Life Sciences segment includes a.
