criticism

Around July 2002 the Focus reported in connection with overpriced chargeable value-added services (0190 numbers) about "a complex network of relationships between network operators, agents and service providers", in which Net Mobile AG was also involved. Consumers could hardly understand the "carefully nested business relationships".

In April 2004, the Düsseldorf public prosecutor searched the offices of Net Mobile AG and its sales partners Logoland and Logoplanet on suspicion of copyright infringement and accounting fraud in connection with ring tones.

In June 2011, blogger Wolfgang Osinski published an open letter on the GoPAY subscription service from Net Mobile on the Düsseldorf blog , which “surprises” many customers with incomprehensible bills. The Düsseldorf public prosecutor's office had confirmed that there were “a number of reports”. In January 2012, the lawyer Frauke Andresen reported on WAP - subscription traps for smartphones - on her specialist blog Von Due Warning . Providers such as Net Mobile offer supposedly free SMS, which, coupled with a subscription, lead to ongoing costs.

In August 2012, the Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung reported on the case of a ten-year-old girl who fell into a subscription trap in 2009. The Heidelberg law firm Seiler & Kollegen is trying to sue its father for the amounts invoiced by Net Mobile AG. The newspaper refers to numerous entries on the Internet about similar problems with the law firm in question or with Net Mobile. According to the Bottrop consumer advice center , the name Net Mobile keeps falling in connection with subscription traps on cell phones , reported the WAZ in November 2013. The editorial team of inside-handy.de reported extensively on such subscription traps .

In 2014, new cases became known in which hidden or seemingly harmless advertising banners in smartphone apps such as WhatsApp triggered subscription traps that lead to excessive bills. The payment processing of these subscription traps via WAP billing runs through Net Mobile AG. Also in 2016, consumer advocates warned against subscription traps, the payment of which was processed via Net Mobile.
