Wellington do Nascimento Silva , called Wellington Silva , (born March 6, 1988 in Rio de Janeiro ), is a Brazilian football player . The right foot runs in defense as a left or right defender.

Career

Wellington Silva began his career at CA Juventus and Gremio Porto Alegre . There the player made the leap into the professional squad in 2009, but was not used. In 2010 he moved to the lower class club Olaria AC . In this he played his first game as a professional. In the national championship of Rio de Janeiro he was substituted on February 27, 2010 in the game against Fluminense Rio de Janeiro in the 85th minute.

In 2011 he was hired by Resende FC, but immediately loaned to Madureira EC in the Série C . For the 2012 season he first went back to Resende and played there several games in the state championship of Rio de Janeiro. Another loan deal followed. He went to the first division club Flamengo Rio de Janeiro . After that, his contract with Resende expired and he was signed by Fluminense Rio de Janeiro . In his first season in 2013 he played only six games in the state championship and six in the Série A. In 2014 Wellington Silva started again in the state championship, Copa do Brasil and championship for his club, but was loaned to the Internacional Porto Alegre from July .

In 2015 he returned to Fluminense and played 28 games in the 2015 championship round and 20 more in other competitions. Although Wellington was still a regular in the 2016 season, he played 58 games in four competitions, he was loaned to EC Bahia in early January 2017 . The contract was valid until the end of 2017. After his first appearances in the Copa do Nordeste , Wellington developed knee problems. Because of the complaints, he had to undergo an operation, which prevented him from playing for several months. After his contract with FLU expired in March 2018, Wellington Silva signed a new contract with Série B Klub CS Alagoano in July .

Wellington moved again for the 2019 season. He signed a contract with Boavista SC to host the state championship. The contract was extended in April.
