Welshly Arms is an American rock and blues band from Cleveland , Ohio .
history
The band was founded in 2012 and released their first EP Welcome in 2013 . In 2015 the first album Welshly Arms was released .
The single Legendary was used as the theme song for the 2017 film Power Rangers , the TV series Empire , and the WWE major event Tables, Ladders & Chairs (2017) . Other songs by the band were used for the US television series Sense8 and for trailers for the film The Hateful Eight by director Quentin Tarantino .
In June 2017 Welshly Arms performed at the annual Rock am Ring music festival . In May 2018 their second studio album called No Place Is Home was released .

The band name comes from a sketch of the US comedy show Saturday Night Live , which plays "Welshly Arms" in a hotel. The band has a strong relationship with their hometown of Cleveland, which is where they write and produce all of their work.
The music by Welshly Arms contains elements of rock and roll, soul, blues and jazz. The band is influenced by musicians and bands such as Jimi Hendrix , The Temptations , Otis Redding and Howlin 'Wolf , among others .
