The 25th Universal Postal Congress 2012 took place from September 24 to October 15, 2012 at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC) in Doha , Qatar . About 2000 delegates from all 192 Universal Postal Union countries took part. The motto was: "New world, new strategy" ( New world, new strategy ).

preparation

On April 3, 2009, the agreement to hold the congress was signed at the headquarters of the Universal Postal Union in Bern . Chairman was Ali Mohammed Ali Al Ali , Chairman and CEO of Qatar Post, determined.

decisions

Shortly before the end of the congress, it decided that the next Universal Postal Congress in 2016 should take place in Istanbul .

Follow-up meeting

On October 8, 2012, a ministerial meeting was held with a number of high-ranking guests to discuss the impact of technology on the communications landscape, the Post's ability to promote economic and social inclusion, and the future prospects of the postal sector and the Universal Postal Union.
