Werner Blume (born January 19, 1887 in Munich , † October 21, 1965 in Göttingen ) was a German anatomist and Nazi lecturer union leader at the University of Göttingen .

Life

Blume studied medicine in Munich from 1906 to 1911 and received his doctorate in 1912. From 1914 to 1925 he was a resident doctor in Lower Bavaria. From 1928 to 1945 he was an anatomy teacher at the Reichenbach School in Göttingen . At the Anatomical Institute of the University of Göttingen he had been an assistant since 1927, a private lecturer since 1931 and apl. Ao since 1939. Professor. Blume had already joined the NSDAP in 1923 (banned in November 1923), rejoined and left in 1928, rejoined in April 1933. In November 1933 he signed the German professors' confession of Adolf Hitler . In 1933 he also became a member of the SS, in which he was promoted to SS-Obersturmführer in 1939 . He was also in the Nazi medical association and leader of the Göttingen Nazi lecturers association from 1934 to 1939. In this role, he took sharp action against deviants from the system.
