Werner Fröhlich

Werner Fröhlich (born April 20, 1953 in Worms ) is a German economist , social and human resources scientist .

Life

Fröhlich studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt from 1972 to 1977 . From 1977 to 1980 he studied industrial engineering at the Technical University of Munich and worked for August Sahm in the area of ​​leadership and leadership training . In 1984 he was at the University of Konstanz with a social science work for Dr. rer. oec. PhD .

From 1979 to 1986 he held various managerial positions in human resources management at BMW AG and AUDI AG , including Head of Human Resources Production at BMW and Head of Recruitment, Deployment and Development at Audi. In 1987 he moved to a management consultancy specializing in strategic human resources management as a managing partner. With a research grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation at the University of St. Gallen , he was able to implement the project “Profitability Criteria for Personnel Management with a Focus on Personnel Development”.

From 1993 to 1994 he was Professor of Personnel and Organization at the Stralsund University of Applied Sciences . In 1994, he received a call as Professor of Business Administration, in particular Human Resources and Organization at the International Institute for Management at the University of Flensburg . From 1996 to 1998 he was the managing director of the institute and founder of the German-Spanish courses at the University of Flensburg.

From 1999 to 2006 Werner Fröhlich was University President of Danube University Krems . Since 2006 he has been professor for general business administration, in particular advanced training and university management, at the University of Flensburg. He was also the founding president of the "flensburg.school", which went into operation on January 1, 2008, on the Flensburg campus , an innovation platform for applied research and advanced research studies with part-time courses, which was later disreputed as the "title maker".

Werner Fröhlich held supervisory mandates from 2000 to 2004 at the personnel management service provider P&I Informatik AG, Wiesbaden, and from 2002 to 2004 at Wachauer Messe AG, Krems. From 1995 to 2006 he was a member of the FIBAA accreditation commission . He has been a guest lecturer at the European Institute for Postgraduate Education at the TU Dresden (EIPOS) for many years . He has also been a sworn and court-certified expert for administrative, university and science management in Austria since 2004 .

He is married and has three children.
