Werner Gebhard

Werner Gebhard (born December 14, 1921 in Nuremberg ; † February 14, 1997 ibid) was a German civil servant and trade unionist.

Gebhard attended the business school with a higher commercial school in Nuremberg and in 1939 joined the Nuremberg city administration. During the Second World War he did four years of military service and was wounded. In 1948 he passed the examination for the higher administrative service. In 1959 he became head of asset and debt management in the financial department of the city of Nuremberg. From 1971 to 1989 he was chairman of the Bavarian Civil Service Association and then honorary chairman. He was also a member of the federal executive board and the federal executive board of the German Association of Civil Servants and was chairman of the Association of German Municipal Officials and Employees . From 1963 to 1989 it belonged to the Bavarian Senateand during this time also the Advisory Board of the Academy for Political Education and the Broadcasting Council.
