Werner Groth

Werner Groth (born December 26, 1895 in Hamburg ; † April 16, 1979 there ) was a Hamburg politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After he attended elementary school and then passed the secondary school leaving certificate, Groth worked in Hamburg as a legal assistant from 1910. He was employed in various companies and authorities that had specialized in areas of the real estate industry. From 1925 he set up as an independent house broker .

After the Second World War , he became a delegate in the Hamburg Landowners Association

politics

Groth joined the CDU in 1946 and was a member of the Hamburg parliament from the first election period in October of the same year . He took over the position of secretary there until 1951 and from 1953 to 1957 he served as first vice-president. In addition, he was a member of the citizens' committee for his parliamentary group . In 1961 he left parliament.

In addition to his parliamentary work, he was also a board member of the municipal housing association Die Freie Stadt .
