Werner Haueisen

Werner Haueisen (born April 19, 1925 in Glauchau ; † September 26, 2013 ) was a German chronicler and local history researcher .

Haueisen was a trained woolen fabric maker, textile engineer, author and hobby historian. From 1953 to 1990 he was a senior teacher in the company school of VEB Textilwerke Palla Glauchau.

Through his non-fiction book series, which he published in Sutton Verlag , he is considered the most important chronicler of Glauchau . The 2013 book Glauchau, my hometown with over 230 photos from private archives and his own collection concluded his life's work.
